A One-of-a-Kind Bicycle, Bells and a Dopaliscious Dinner are on the Menu
WASHINGTON, DC [March 15, 2016] – The Department of Funk rolled out its third annual Indiegogo campaign in hopes of raising $15,000 for the day festival, parade and nearly 150 hours of music, dance and art programming. All proceeds are critical to supporting the infrastructure of the festival as 70,000 attendees are expected for this year’s event on Saturday, May 7.
Funky perks come with all levels of donations. This year, Funk Parade was fortunate to secure some amazing rewards. Highlights include:
One (1) $5,000 Mega Funk High Roller featuring a custom Funk Parade Riide x Special Edition Bike, a Marshall Kilburn portable Bluetooth speaker, a limited edition Chrome X Funk Parade bag, and primo swag including Funk Parade T- Shirt, sticker, magnet and flash tattoo. (Local DC only.)
Five (5) $150 Roll Your Funk packages featuring a complete Bike Tune-Up from BicycleSPACE and a Custom Funk Parade Bike Bell. (Local DC only.)
Ten (10) $125 “Chocolate City” Dinner Tickets, each $125 donation will receive one ticket to join renowned D.C. Chef Brent Hughes for his multi-course dining experience, Dopaliscious, on June 5th. Chef Hughes uses music to inspire his menus, and this dinner will be inspired by P-Funk’s album, Chocolate City.
